There are some things I never said
Some things I never could say
You may never know how you touched my life
And changed it forever
You gave me a hand when I was down in the dumps
Helped me find myself
You stood by me when I needed help
Egged me on achieve
You stood beside and cheered
The times when I did
You gave me a gift so precious
My belief in myself
I know I never can repay
The sheer warmth you showered
And the magic that was there
I feel it was that of care
I always felt warm and protected
You were like a big brother
Someone whom I could always depend
Someone who always stood firm
I hope this comes as a surprise
On a day that’s so special
I hope and wish and pray
That you remain this way
Warm and friendly with a young zestful heart
Laughing out loud, pulling life by its tail
Moving on ahead, kicking up a storm
With a renewed energy
