Making things come alive
Seemingly out of thin air
Playing to the crowded house
Bowing to their applause
Painted face lit up with a smile
Un-flinching when there’s no response
Moving on deft to the next round
There are crates of tricks left to unfold
Song and dance and bright costumes
Pretty girls in nice lil skirts
Making the audience sit up and watch
When late in the night, they stifle their yawn
Doing a vanishing act
Making elephants come on stage
Slicing someone in two halves
Anything, anything for a glance
We’re all performers here
Playing to a gallery
It’s pure showmanship
What may seem not be true
It’s all just fun
A laugh or two at the end
It’s all there is to it
We’re all magicians here
Out of thin air, we appear
Like hot air balloons we rise up
Anything, anything for some praise
It’s all for applause, pure showmanship!
